We currently service the greater Birmingham area including Tuscaloosa and Huntsville.

How much do you charge for service contracts?
If you own or operate a small business and would like to outsource, we advise considering a service contract for your business. Buying blocks of time not only guarantees you'll receive service on a regular, consistent basis but also allows you to receive our services at a discounted rate. We can also arrange a technician to be on site on certain days of the week so you'll know when to expect us each week or month.

What services do you provide for private residences?
Among other things, we'll assist in speeding up slow computers, working with computers that won't boot up, removing spyware and viruses, installing all-in-one printers, installing digital cameras and related software, Blackberries, and PDA's - as well as installing and resolving any wireless or wired networking issues. You name it and we can do it for you.

What information do you need from me?
When you call for computer assistance please have the following information available:

• What exactly do you need done?
• How long have you been having this problem?
• Did it ever work before?
• Have you recently installed any new software or hardware?
• Are you getting any specific error messages?

Do you provide a drop off service?
Most service is performed on-site at the home or place of business. If needed, the technician may decide to take hardware off site but it is at the technicians discretion.

What does UWIN Systems need from me to develop a web site?
Before site design begins, we'll ask you to gather all available materials for your web site including pictures, graphics, logos, copy, etc. We request customers submit all proofread copy in digital form (Microsoft Word, Wordperfect, Word for Windows). To secure project design, we require a deposit before site design begins. Files remain property of UWIN Systems until final payment has been received.

How long will it take to get my web site established?
The project timeline varies with each site, as each site is unique in design and content. Generally, site development will take anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks to complete. This is a common timeframe for web site development-most web design shops will give you the same timeline.

What occurs during the initial consultation, for web site development?
We will pick up all available materials for your site, including pictures, logos, copy, etc. During the initial consultation, your web site will be planned out and a strategy developed for site design. We will ask you what you want on your site and what you want the different pages to cover; sites are usually divided into logical pieces covering different areas of the business. It usually helps to look at what similar companies are offering on the web to get a feel of what you may want for your web site
